MY ALL-TIME FAVOURITE FOODS IN BALI

Trends come and go, new restaurants pop up every day, but Bali passed the tipping point years ago, where quantity steamrolled over quality. Prices are soaring to the heavens, while originality and character have sunk beneath the rice paddies (well.. at least underneath the remaining ones).

What’s the hype in Canggu, Pererenan, and Munggu? No idea. Uluwatu and Bingin? Lost track of the madness a while ago. And honestly? I don’t even care anymore. After many disappointments of trying new places, I’ve learned the golden rule: stick to the good old ones. I love consistency when it comes to food, and whenever I crave a particular dish, I know where to go. No games, no letdowns, just delicious satisfaction. Every. Single. Time.
